Some news from Mesolit Games and a call for playtesters

Northpyre

• I visited the Roolipelistudio podcast to discuss the Northpyre games. In Finnish only, but here it is:

• Two more episodes about Mesolit’s games coming up in the future, so follow the podcast if you’re interested.

• Northpyre: Council needs playtesters! It’s a negotiation game for one player and one GM, set in the same mythic, boreal stone age world. Send me a message at mesolitgames@gmail.com if you’re interested and I’ll send you the PDF.

• Northpyre, the big game, is still in the works. It’ll get a crowdfunding campaign when the time is right. In the meantime, I’m shipping games I can ship now.

Laser Dinosaur Cavalry

• Playtests ongoing. One of the playtesters said that the game delivers everything the back cover blurb promises. Good and useful feedback overall, it’s going to be a very unique take on tactical cinematic pulp action.

The Moon Is an Annoyance

• Entering playtests. I think the game should hit the emotional register of films and series like The Martian, Gravity, For All Mankind pretty well. If you’re interested in playtesting a lunar catastrophe game, send me a message at mesolitgames@gmail.com – the game is designed for two players and a GM. I have a hunch it might work pretty well also without a GM and would love to test that theory, too.

What the future looks like

• I’ll have a table at Ropecon in Helsinki this July. New games coming out there, come say hi.

• I’ve got some more games in the works after this batch. Some more pulp action, some frankly rather weird abstract stuff. More announcements later.
